For 20 years, KOZ has been building lumber constructions and watching building waste being removed to not-so-sustainable landfills. We created a workshop to take charge of the recycling of our waste by manufacturing furniture and objects on a smaller scale.
Located in Saint-Ouen, in Greater Paris, this workshop is the home of a first production run that will provide tables, chairs and other decorative objects to the Halle des Docks. In addition to construction residues, we transform end-of-life art crates into furniture with an original design, thanks to a partnership with Chenue.
A numerically controlled milling machine cuts wood, metal and plastic; each element is then assembled without nails, screws or adhesive.
We will soon be starting another production series derived from the conversion of the exhibition material of the Cartier and Louis Vuitton Foundations. Who knows, the picture rails of Claude Monet paintings may one day turn into armchairs in the shape of water lilies!
