Méridia is an up-and-coming area in Nice, an eco-district that has replaced a former industrial site on the banks of the Var river, adjoining the airport. This eco-valley invites the best architects in the world to build housing and offices of the future in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, which is highly exposed to climatic hazards. KOZ has built a series of offices and educational, R&D and services spaces entirely in wood. Its tall and slender silhouette, enhanced by the structural elements added to the facade, displays full-height glass enclosures protected from the sun by floor overhangs. This white building offers a Mediterranean interpretation of wooden architecture. It is also a new interpretation of an office building, here completely open to its environment with wide passageways at each level to work as at home, between shade and light.
